Northfield Public Schools Celebrates American Education Week
American Education Week presents all people with a wonderful opportunity to celebrate public education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that every child receives a quality education.
School Board Election Results
One new board member and three incumbents were elected to the Northfield Public Schools Board of Education on November 8. Current members Ellen Iverson (incumbent Vice Chair), Rob Hardy (incumbent Treasurer) and Noel Stratmoen (incumbent Clerk) will return in 2017.
Four Northfield students named National Merit Semifinalists; Six named National Merit Commended Students
Northfield Public Schools is pleased to announce that four Northfield High School seniors have been named National Merit Semifinalists and six have been named Commended students.
School Board Elections
School Board members are elected during the November General Election on even years. Members are elected for a four-year term with either three or four members elected. All board members are elected at-large.
Strategic Plan Community Session
Northfield Public Schools will be developing a strategic plan over the next six weeks. The community is invited to attend a community session designed to gather input about what should be included in the strategic plan.
Office of School Board Member Filing Dates
The period for filing affidavits of candidacy for the office of school board member of Independent School District No. 659 will begin on August 2, 2016, and close at 5:00 PM on August 16, 2016.
Ready, Set, Go! Elementary Orientation
