Recreation and Enrichment for All Ages

Northfield Public Schools Community Education offers a wide variety of enrichment and recreation classes that serve all age groups. Whether you’re looking for adult sports leagues, local health and fitness, language, technology, or art classes; Community Education has something for you! Pickleball Registration Form

Scout's Memory Quilt Class is for adult/child teams to create a cozy keepsake. You will create a lapsized quilt and is open to anyone ready to make something beautiful. Machine sewing is required for the project, but Krista will walk you through the process, step by step. Mondays, July 6-August 3, 5:30-7pm at the NCEC.Make a Tiny Basket with natural foraged materials. Join Trina Brunk and discover the art of tiny basket making using natural, foraged materials and an ancient twining technique. In this hands on nature-connected class, participants will learn how to creat a small basket using soft plant materials found right in our everyday surroundings. Class meets Tuesdays, June 16-30, 2-4pm at Bridgewater Elementary. Call the NCEC to register: 507.664.3648

Adult Education

Free English Language and GED Classes

Adult Basic Education offers free English language and  GED classes for adults 17 and older who are not enrolled in school. 

Practice your English reading, writing, and speaking skills, or prepare for the GED, in a safe and welcoming environment. We also offer official GED testing, so you can study and take the test all in the same place.

Project ABLE provides educational and recreational programming for adults with disabilities in Rice County. Project ABLE is operated as a consortium between Northfield and Faribault Public School Districts.
