Supporting the Mission of Northfield Public Schools
The School Board is the governing body of the school district, responsible for developing policy to ensure the proper care, management and control of district affairs, and supporting the mission of educating the students in the Northfield School District to reach their full potential. Members are elected for four-year terms in general November elections and attend meetings twice per month.
Monday, January 25, 2021 ~ 7:00 p.m. Regular School Board Meeting via Zoom.
Due to the current federal and state emergency declarations and guidance about limiting person-to-person contact due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, all meetings of the Northfield Public Schools (ISD 659) school board will be conducted in accordance with Minnesota Statute 13D.021 Meetings by Telephone or Other Electronic Means, until further notice. The school board has determined that it is not feasible for at least one board member or the superintendent to be physically present at the regular meeting location and that it is not feasible for the public to attend this meeting at the regular location.
Public comment for the regular school board meeting may be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021 at email@example.com, and will be read by the Board Chair if submitted in compliance with the district’s public comment guidelines explained here. If necessary, submitted comments will be edited to delete the portion(s) of the submission that do not comply with the guidelines. This meeting is open to the public via live stream video and the link to this meeting will be posted on the district website.
