At the January 11 School Board meeting the Board regretfully accepted the resignation of Board Member Anne Maple effective January 12, 2016. Ms. Maple was first elected to the School Board in November 2008 and again in November 2012.

Priority based budget reductions: The district shared the priority based budget reduction information with families on March 5. You can read the message and view the priority budget reduction recommendations here.
The district has also published an FAQ. This document will be updated as needed.
A community meeting for public input on the recommended reductions will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 6-8:30 pm, in the Northfield Middle School auditorium. Please note the date change; this meeting was initially scheduled for March 11.

New Middle School Assistant Principal Hired
Michael O’Keefe has been hired as Assistant Principal at Northfield Middle School effective August 3. O’Keefe replaces Greg Gelineau who began his new role as Principal at Northfield Middle School in July.
Community Facilities Plan Meetings Scheduled
The District is hosting a series of meetings in September regarding the next steps in developing a long-term Master Facilities Plan. This information was sent to all families via Skylert on August 13.
Online Food Service Payment System
Families in the Northfield School District received an e-mail message notifying parents and guardians that the food service online payment vendor system was switching to RevTrak.
