At Monday's meeting of the Northfield Board of Education, the Minnesota Community Education Association presented Community Services with a 2015 MCEA Project Award for the annual Sports Special Sale, a scholarship fundraiser that helps kids participate in local programs.

Join the ‘Jingle Jam’ Holiday Event

Children’s Theater to Perform ‘The Wizard of Oz’
More than 60 local youth will take the stage this weekend, along with professional actors from Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre, to perform the company's version of the classic American tale, "The Wizard of Oz."
Diabetes Support Group Started
Claire and Linnea Larson, a local mother-daughter team, will launch a free support group at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 5 for families and children facing the challenges of Type 1 diabetes. The group plans to host nine meetings throughout the school year for families in Northfield and surrounding areas.
