Middle School Principal Recognized
The Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP) recognized Northfield Middle School Principal Jeff Pesta as the 2012 Minnesota Middle Level Principal of the Year for the Southeast Division at the organization’s annual conference June 20.
Students Score Well on AP Exams
Of the 400 Advanced Placement exams taken this spring by Northfield High School students, 80 percent were scored high enough for the student to earn college credit.

High school athletic programs will start fall practices on Monday, Aug. 13.
Student Art Displayed Downtown
The first creation of the Northfield Young Sculptors Project, "The Tree of Knowledge and Delight," was unveiled June 29 at the Northfield Public Library plaza near the corner of Third and Division streets.
Community Band Kicks Off 2012 Season
Thursday night the Northfield Community Band performed its first concert of the summer at Bridge Square, playing Broadway hits under the direction of Rachel Gorden Mercer.
