Priority based budget reductions: The district shared the priority based budget reduction information with families on March 5. You can read the message and view the priority budget reduction recommendations here.
A community meeting for public input on the recommended reductions will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 6-8:30 pm, in the Northfield Middle School auditorium. Please note the date change; this meeting was initially scheduled for March 11.

Action required: transportation registration deadline is Aug. 11
Benjamin Bus and Northfield Public Schools are implementing an opt-in transportation model this school year. This means that eligible students must register in advance of the school year to receive transportation. Students wanting bus transportation (and have not already registered) must submit the registration form by Friday, August 11th to guarantee transportation beginning on September 5th.
Juneteenth to be observed as a state holiday
New legislation makes Juneteenth a statewide holiday in Minnesota beginning in 2023. The Northfield School District will be closed on June 19, 2023, to observe the holiday.
