Tragic news: death of a student
This message was sent to families about the tragic death of a Northfield High School student, Melanie Valencia. The visitation and funeral will be held on Sunday, Aug. 7. The visitation will be held from 10:00 am—1:30 pm at the Bierman Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 2:00 pm at St. Dominic Church.
NPD requesting help in finding missing Prairie Creek student
The Northfield Police Department (NPD) is asking for the community’s help in locating 6-year-old Elle Ragin, who is a student at Prairie Creek Community School and is missing.
Shane Baier named Northfield High School principal
Mr. Shane Baier will be the next Northfield High School principal, beginning July 1, 2022. Mr. Baier will succeed Dr. Joel Leer, who has accepted a position as an assistant professor of educational leadership at Minnesota State University, Mankato
