  • The RALIE/LOA FUN Night will be held on Friday, February 26th. We are hoping to see lots of student fans in the stands for the girls basketball game that night.   • Seniors: The Northfield Community Scholarship applications are now available. Many community organizations and individuals provide scholarships to NHS seniors graduating this year. We encourage you to take advantage of these scholarship opportunities. You can find most of the scholarship applications on the NHS Counseling webpage, under the Scholarships tab (http://northfieldschools.org/nhs/support/counseling/scholarships/).
  • The Universal Scholarship Application is one application to complete for many local scholarships. A number of individual scholarship applications are available on line as well. Finally, a handful of applications are only available in hard copy form and can be found in the Counseling Office.

  • Remember today until NOON is the last chance to purchase your fan bus fare to go to the Section Final Girls Hockey Game, ($5 for the bus fare). Bring your permission form and money to the Activities Office.

  • There will be Fan Buses to the Girls Hockey Section Final game which will be held on Thursday, February 11th. Information and Parent Permission forms are available in the Activities Office. Permission forms must have a parent signature and contact phone number, and must be turned in by NOON on Wednesday, February 10. Students are encouraged to pick-up these forms in the Activities Office TODAY and will be able to purchase bus fares in the Activities Office until NOON on Wednesday. Students will only be allowed to ride the fan bus with signed, parental permission. The cost of riding the bus is $5.00. Checks for bus fares are to be written to Northfield High School. There are no refunds. Student game tickets must be purchased at Owatonna Four Seasons Arena just before you enter the game.   • The Raider Speech Team kicked off their 2016 season at the Duluth Denfeld Invitational. Top finishers for the Raiders were Natalie Swanson (Poetry Honorable Mention), Grace Hillmann (6th, Drama Honor Final), Jasper Egge (3rd, Storytelling Honor Final), Captain Jackson Hillmann (5th, Humorous Varsity Final), Captain Katy Gilbertson (Original Oratory Honorable Mention), Thea Pitsavas (7th, Informative Varsity Final), Irene Stoutland (5th, Discussion Honor Final), Emily Jacobson (Poetry Honorable Mention), Jonie Erickson and Alaina Falck (Duo Honorable Mention), Audrey Battiste (Prose Honorable Mention), Libby Barth (4th, Informative Honor Final), and Emily Rhoades (Humorous Honorable Mention).

  • Northfield area coupon books are being sold by NHS band member. The cost is $25 per book. Please see a band member to check out all of the discounts. Thank you for your support!
  • All Students who become ill during the school day are required to check out with the nurse’s office prior to leaving the building. Check out must include contact between school officials and parents/guardians prior to leaving the building. Failure to properly check out with the nurse’s office will cause the student to be unexcused.
  • Parking: The cost of parking permits is now $75. There is a signup sheet on Kim Bauer’s door. Mrs. Bauer will find you at some point during class to purchase your permit. Anyone without a permit may be towed.

  • The Gator Boys Swimming & Diving team had another fantastic meet posting over 50, almost exclusively Lifetime, best performances at the 2016 Class A True Team State Meet this past weekend. The Gators finished 5th out of 12 teams scoring 1625.5 points through 12 events. The Gators travel to Faribault on Thursday and then host their final dual meet of the season on Saturday, Feb. 6 vs Mankato East at 11:00am – Northfield Middle School Pool.
