Yearbooks will be handed out during lunch and after school on Thursday and Friday.  If you did not order one, we are sold out, but may have a few extras as Jostens sometimes sends us more than we ordered.  See Mrs. Mucha in H120 to get your name on a waiting list.  You will be notified on Friday if a book is available for you. The cost is $84.00.

Cast and crew involved with the fall, one-act, or spring plays – please pick up your award certificate and medal in the office by next Wednesday, May 31st

Sports

Raider fastpitch won their section opener over Byron 3-2 in a thrilling fashion. Olivia Keske and Jillian Noel led off the 7th inning with hits and Caroline Pritchard delivered the walk-off hit.The Raiders turned in several web gems with many catches from the outfield including a diving catch by Rachel Kelly. The infield was also solid and got big plays from Anika Guggisberg, Jillian Noel, and Payton Maki-Waller. Leading hitters with two hits each were: Jillian, Caroline, and Sierra Barck.  The Raiders advance to play Stewartville at 4pm on Thursday.

Attention Seniors!  Get your lock in tickets in the office for $35.  Come join a night of fun on June 1st for seniors

Senior Obligations:  Seniors who have overdue material from first semester, or last year, at the time of graduation rehearsal will not receive their cap and gown. This includes iPad brick and cord fees from last turn-in. Notices were distributed to your school email last week.  All other materials must be turned in to the MC by Thursday, June 1st before leaving for the day.  If you are not sure if you are clear, please pop in and we can check your account.

The student council election results are now posted on the office windows.

Activities

The LOA color kickball has been moved due to rain and cold to next Friday May 26th at 5 PM at rock fields. Food, Kickball, and Color!

The yearbook release party will be Tuesday, May 23rd at 5:30 p.m. in the lower cafeteria.  There will be popcorn, games, music & tables to sign the books.  We hope to see you there!

NHS Fall 2017 Musical: The Drowsy Chaperone

Auditions for the NHS Fall Musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, will be held May 30 and June 1 between 3:30 and 6:30 PM. Callbacks are June 2 at 3:30.  Please prepare 16-32 measures of an uptempo song, to be sung unaccompanied. Also, come dressed to move.  Audition sign is available in the activities office.

All seniors, MVPs & State participants, please plan on coming to the maroon and gold reception on Wednesday, May 24th.  Tickets are available in the Activities Office.

Sports
The Raider baseball team defeated Owatonna in the second game of a DH 6-1.  Hunter Koep homered for the Raiders.  Derek Albers got the victory on the mound.  The Raiders lost the first game of the DH 6-3.

The Raider Softball team swept Owatonna last night with a score of 9-3 and 13-3.  The offense was sparked by:  Annie Fossum 5 hits; Rachel Kelly with 4 hits; Marissa Nelson 4 hits; Jill Noel 4 hits; Caroline Pritchard 3 hits and Olivia Keske with a double and triple.

LOA is hosting color kickball this Saturday at rock fields at 12:00 pm. Come with a team of  9-10. Teams must have a minimum of 3 boys and 3 girls. Don’t miss it!
