Special Services staff work collaboratively with classroom teachers, families, community organizations and other agencies to address the needs of students with physical, cognitive, behavioral, mental health or other impairments that interfere with their performance in school. Special Services staff are found in every building in the district, though the number of type of staff vary depending upon the unique needs of students within each school.

Each school building is staffed by a licensed nurse who is available to address the health needs of students.
A Federal law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with physical and mental impairments, and provides reasonable accommodation when an impairment impacts a major life activity.
