Special Services

Special Services staff work collaboratively with classroom teachers, families, community organizations and other agencies to address the needs of students with physical, cognitive, behavioral, mental health or other impairments that interfere with their performance in school. Special Services staff are found in every building in the district, though the number of type of staff vary depending upon the unique needs of students within each school.

Health Services
Each school building is staffed by a licensed nurse who is available to address the health needs of students.

Section 504
A Federal law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with physical and mental impairments, and provides reasonable accommodation when an impairment impacts a major life activity.

Special Education
Specialized instruction and related services to support students with disabilities.

Student Support Services: Counseling, School Social Work, School Psychologists
Highly trained professionals to support the social, emotional, behavioral and academic needs of students and their families.
