** Due to the improving travel conditions, this evening’s district band concert will be held as scheduled at Northfield High School at 7:00 p.m. Staff will be available at the elementary schools and middle school between 4:00 and 5:30 p.m. so that students can pick up their instruments. **
The Northfield Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, March 16, 2026, due to conditions related to the current blizzard. All classes and activities are canceled for the day. In partnership with the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA), the Northfield School Board has officially launched its search for the district’s next superintendent. This message was sent to district families March 10, 2026.

At the Feb. 23 meeting, the school board approved contracting with the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) to conduct the district’s superintendent search. The school board will hold a special board meeting on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the District Office Boardroom.
Operating Levy Renewal Public Hearing scheduled for March 19
Northfield Public Schools encourages district residents to attend a public hearing on Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Northfield District Office Gymnasium to learn more and provide feedback on the board renewal of the 2017 operating levy.
