Weinmann Recognized by Outstanding Educator Program
Northfield Middle School teacher Earl Weinmann has been named a regional honoree in the WEM Foundation’s 2014 Outstanding Educator Awards, a program seeking to support exemplary Minnesota teachers.
‘Beauty and the Beast’ in Northfield This Weekend
See “Beauty and the Beast” in a new light this weekend, as local youth team up with professional actors in a musical performance of a classic tale of love and redemption.
Camp Invention Staff Discount
Northfield Public Schools staff members may register their children for the Camp Invention STEM enrichment day camp and receive a $30 discount for each child. Staff using this discount must provide their district email address when registering and also pay the $5 per student fee.
Healthy Kids Event This Weekend
The Northfield Area Family YMCA will hold its annual Healthy Kids Day, from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, at Bridgewater Elementary School.
Middle School Mother’s Day Sale
The Northfield Middle School student-run bookstore, The Tattered Pages, will host the fourth annual Mother’s Day Book Sale May 5-9. Middle school families are invited to attend the May 5 kick-off, to be held in conjunction with a Cinco de Mayo celebration at 5 p.m.

Parents of youth entering grades 1 through 7 are invited to a registration night for the SummerVentures day camp program, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, April 8, at Longfellow School.
