Three capstone events, starting Friday, will wrap up a year of work and display the talents of Northfield High School students:

  • The third annual creation of the Northfield Young Sculptors Project, entitled “Octopus Garden,” will be unveiled at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 16, at the Northfield Public Library plaza (near the corner of Third and Division streets). The project supports the work of a local artist and high school students to come together to develop ideas around a collaborative public sculpture and then create a large-scale work.   • The annual Maroon & Gold Athletic Reception will be held beginning at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, at the Northfield Middle School, to recognize the accomplishments of Raider athletes during the year. Tickets can be purchased in the activities office for $5 until Friday, May 16. Beverages and cake will be served before the 7 p.m. awards ceremony. Read more in the Northfield News »
  • The Honors Art Final Gallery Show will be featured from May 14 – 31 at the Northfield Arts Guild, displaying works from 28 high school visual artists. An opening celebration and public reception for the exhibit, entitled “In A World,” will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 16. See gallery hours, or read the Northfield News article »
