New Director of Teaching and Learning

Northfield Public Schools is pleased to announce that the district has hired Mary Hanson, currently principal at Madelia Elementary School, as the new director of teaching and learning beginning July 1, 2012.

Students and a distinguished alumnus were honored last Sunday at the annual NHS Distinguished Alumni & Academic Awards Program, held at the Northfield Middle School. David Legvold, a 1959 Northfield High School graduate, was recognized for his contribution to society as a farmer, teacher and environmentalist.

SummerVentures Parent Orientation

Check out the Community Services SummerVentures day camp program at parent orientation from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on April 17. There will be registration materials and pool pass information available at Longfellow School room 102. Child care will be available and parents can enter a drawing to win a free week of camp.
