Attention :

** Due to the improving travel conditions, this evening’s district band concert will be held as scheduled at Northfield High School at 7:00 p.m. Staff will be available at the elementary schools and middle school between 4:00 and 5:30 p.m. so that students can pick up their instruments. **

The Northfield Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, March 16, 2026, due to conditions related to the current blizzard. All classes and activities are canceled for the day. The Northfield High School Pre-Bid Walkthrough will be held as scheduled on March 16 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

A Disaster Emergency Procedure Plan has been established in the Northfield School District for the purpose of protecting the health and safety of every child as well as the school staff. The district aims to be prepared for rare but critical emergencies. The district practices the following required annual drills:

Five school lockdown drills
Five fire drills
One tornado drill

The district presents an annual district safety drill update to the school board in July. The report from that presentation can be found here.
