Dear Northfield Public Schools Families,

I hope that this message finds you safe and healthy. I have one request and two updates for you today:

End-of-Year Distance Learning Survey

Thanks to those who have submitted their end-of-year distance learning survey. We have 656 responses so far and are seeking to match the 1,500+ responses we received for our April survey. We will leave this survey open through Wednesday, June 17, at 5 pm. Please complete one survey for each child using the appropriate links below.

» Take the middle school parent survey

» Take the high school parent survey

Highway 246/Jefferson Parkway Intersection Closing Monday

On Monday, June 15, the City of Northfield will close the intersection at Highway 246 (Division Street) and Jefferson Parkway as they move into the next phase of constructing the new roundabout. The intersection will be closed through October.

» The City of Northfield has published this video to help residents learn the detour routes during this project.

Thank you for your patience as the City completes this vital upgrade that will have a positive impact on traffic and pedestrian safety during school pick-up and drop-off times. You can learn more about the project at https://www.ci.northfield.mn.us/hwy246.

2020-21 School Year Planning Update

The Minnesota Department of Education will provide guidelines next week about three possible scenarios for opening the 2020-21 school year. There is no new information to share yet, so please refer to Distance Learning Update No. 11 for the latest information.

Once again, thank you for trusting us with your child’s education. We do not take that trust for granted and will continue working hard to reach our vision of preparing every student for lifelong success in a world-class learning environment.

Sincerely,

Matt
