Priority based budget reductions: The district shared the priority based budget reduction information with families on March 5. You can read the message and view the priority budget reduction recommendations here.

The district has also published an FAQ. This document will be updated as needed.

A community meeting for public input on the recommended reductions will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 6-8:30 pm, in the Northfield Middle School auditorium. Please note the date change; this meeting was initially scheduled for March 11.

Empowering Middle School Learners in Grades 6–8

Northfield Middle School, situated on an expansive campus just south of downtown Northfield, has a longstanding tradition of academic excellence. The staff of more than 100 is led by Principal Greg Gelineau and Assistant Principal Michael O’Keefe.

Staff members are focused on offering a high quality, well-rounded education that strives to meet the specific needs of each student, empowering them in their educational journeys and inspiring their confidence.

In addition to the academic support students receive from educators, Northfield Middle School recognizes the tremendous benefits of mentor relationships, offering an acclaimed, results-oriented program that pairs a number of students with adults in the community who can provide friendship, encouragement and homework assistance.

Spanish Immersion

Students enrolled in the Compañeros Spanish Immersion Program at one of our three area elementary schools have the opportunity to continue their bilingual classroom experiences in our Amistades program.
