The district has also published an FAQ. This document will be updated as needed.
A community meeting for public input on the recommended reductions will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 6-8:30 pm, in the Northfield Middle School auditorium. Please note the date change; this meeting was initially scheduled for March 11.
Programs
Compañeros
A two-way immersion program where students learn to speak, read, write and listen in English and Spanish. This program offered to students in grades 1–5 at all three Northfield elementary schools.
English Learners
A program for students who have a home language other than English (or in addition to English), committed to teaching social and academic English to maximize students’ classroom experience.
Dual Credit Options
There are several opportunities available to Northfield High School students who want to earn college credit while they’re in high school, including AP classes and PSEO enrollment.
TORCH
TORCH (Tackling Obstacles, Raising College Hopes) improves the graduation and post-secondary participation rates of Northfield’s minority students, low-income students, and first-generation college attendees.
