The Northfield Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, due to icy road conditions, specifically on gravel roads. While paved roads are in good shape, gravel roads continue to be extremely icy.
All classes and activities are canceled for the day. Because this is the first full-day closure of the school year, this is not an e-Learning Day. You can find out more about early dismissals and full day school cancellations at: https://northfieldschools.
Northfield Public Schools uses e-Learning days to mitigate the loss of instructional time when the weather forces school closures. Students receive e-Learning day instructions for learning at home on these days from their school and teacher(s). The latest district e-Learning day guidelines can be found online.
