The Northfield Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, due to icy road conditions, specifically on gravel roads. While paved roads are in good shape, gravel roads continue to be extremely icy.
All classes and activities are canceled for the day. Because this is the first full-day closure of the school year, this is not an e-Learning Day. You can find out more about early dismissals and full day school cancellations at: https://northfieldschools.
School staff have a commitment to good communication between school and home. If a child is having difficulty at school, parents/guardians are encouraged to contact the classroom teacher. The social worker and principal are also available to help resolve a problem that your child might encounter at school. You may contact any of these people by sending a note or placing a phone call to the appropriate school office.
