Dear Northfield School District Community:
Following two days of semifinalist interviews on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25, the Northfield School Board unanimously selected two finalists in its search for the district’s next superintendent. The finalists are:
- Dr. Tim Anderson, Executive Director of Academic Services, Prior Lake-Savage Area Public Schools, MN | Read Dr. Tim Anderson’s Bio.
- Cory McIntyre, Superintendent, Anoka-Hennepin Schools, MN | Read Cory McIntyre’s Bio.
This decision comes after a careful and comprehensive review process that included input from staff, students, parents/caregivers and community members through a public input survey. Six highly qualified semifinalists were interviewed. We are grateful for our community’s engagement and trust throughout this process.
Finalist interviews will be held on Wednesday, April 29, beginning at 4:00 p.m. All interviews will take place in the District Office Boardroom. The public entrance is Door 2, located on the north side of the Northfield School District Office on 2nd Street West.
The interviews are open to the public, and we invite community members to attend. To help capture a broad range of perspectives, a group of 15 stakeholders has been identified to provide feedback on the finalist interviews. To ensure a level playing field for all candidates, the interviews will not be livestreamed or recorded.
We look forward to continuing to prepare every student for lifelong success alongside our community and our new superintendent. Together we will navigate the challenges and also share the many celebrations of public education.
