Dear Bridgewater Families:

I am writing to inform you about some short-term leadership changes at Bridgewater Elementary School.

As you may know, Principal Nancy Antoine’s husband, Doug, was diagnosed with the blood disorder myelodysplasia. He will be receiving treatment for his cancer at the Mayo Clinic. Mrs. Antoine will be taking some time off to support him. I know you will all join me in holding the Antoines in your hearts. It is anticipated that Mrs. Antoine will be on leave from approximately Aug. 11 through approximately Oct. 10.

During Mrs. Antoine’s leave, Hope Langston will serve as the interim principal, and Adam Danielson will be the interim associate principal. Ms. Langston will usually be on site three days a week. When she isn’t there, Mr. Danielson will handle the building’s administration. Ms. Langston’s anticipated on site schedule will be shared in early August.

Ms. Langston retired as the district’s Director of Instructional Services in June. She started her Northfield service as an instructional coach at Bridgewater in 2012. She also served as the Director of Assessment Services before assuming the role of Director of Instructional Services in 2020.

Mr. Danielson has been a Bridgewater staff member for nearly 25 years. He has served as a teacher, as the school’s behavior coach, and as a varsity coach for multiple sports at Northfield High School. He will continue to serve as the building’s behavior coach while also assuming the interim associate principal duties.

I have confidence that the combination of Ms. Langston and Mr. Danielson’s leadership will ensure a strong start to the 2025-25 school year for Bridgewater staff and families.

Again, please hold the Antoines in your hearts as they navigate the treatment process at the Mayo Clinic.

Sincerely,

Matt
