The district is hosting the second annual free Juneteenth celebration on Thursday, June 19. Here are the details:
- Date: Thursday, June 19, 2025, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- Location: Northfield High School auditorium
- Guest Speaker: Minnesota Department of Agriculture Assistant Commissioner Patrice Bailey. Assistant Commissioner Bailey will discuss the history of Juneteenth and the contributions of BIPOC communities to Minnesota agriculture.
- Lunch will be provided to the first 100 attendees and will be catered by Rose’s Jamaican Kitchen.
- This event is free and open to the public, and it is funded by grants and private donations.
