Greetings, Northfield High School Families:
I want you to know there was an accident involving one of our school buses transporting choir members to the workshop in Lakeville. Here is what we know:
- The accident took place on Highway 35 North, north of Fleet Farm.
- The initial report is that there is damage to the front side of the bus by the door.
- Initial reports indicate there are no serious injuries. However, at least two people who were on the bus have reported minor injuries.
- Two buses had been en route. Students who had been on the bus involved in the accident boarded the second bus and are returning to Northfield
Choir families: if your student was on the bus involved in the accident and they begin to demonstrate any indications of injury, seek medical attention and contact me.
For clarity, there were also members of the Northfield Youth Choirs who were traveling to the event on a different bus with a separate transportation plan. Those students are continuing to attend the event.
We are grateful that the initial reports indicate a few minor injuries.
