Dear Northfield High School Families:
I am saddened to share some tragic news with students and families. We recently learned about the heartbreaking death of Melanie Valencia, a 9th grade student at Northfield High School. Melanie died due to injuries sustained in a bicycle/car accident. Her death will impact some of you more than others and in different ways, just as it had the staff when they were informed.
Melanie was a valued member of our Northfield School Community, as are each of you. The Northfield High School support team will be available to assist you as we process this loss together. Details on time and location will be coming soon.
