As referenced in previous messages, the district will begin offering the Cue molecular COVID-19 test to symptomatic students over the age of two years old and staff members. This service is not yet available for asymptomatic students. A parent/guardian must be present with any student under 18 years old for the COVID-19 test.
The testing center is located at the Northfield School District Office at 201 Orchard Street S. The testing will use a drive-through approach. Vehicles should park in the cut-out spots facing east on Second Street, Door #2. You can view a map here. Please remain in your vehicle. A district health aide will come to your car with the nasal swab and process the test inside the district office building. If you don’t have a vehicle, we will make accommodations for your testing appointment. It is a rapid nasal swab test that returns results in approximately 20 minutes. They will give you a printout with your test results.
You can schedule a Cue test using this link: https://bit.ly/3BqrXqA.
Please make sure to provide all of the information requested in the form so we can most efficiently serve you.
The district will have limited testing availability at the start of our program. It is not intended to replace other testing opportunities in the community but to add capacity. You can find other molecular and PCR testing locations via the State of Minnesota testing website.
Please contact the district office at (507) 663-0600 with any questions about our COVID-19 testing program.
