The Community Services fall brochure will arrive in mailboxes this weekend, and registration for classes opens Friday, Aug. 12. Browse new opportunities for all ages in recreation and enrichment, starting with a few highlights below.

  • Measure, stir, mix and decorate with your preschooler for a fun night of Holiday Cooking With Your Kids. Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) starts with a full schedule of classes on Monday, Sept. 12.
  • The whole family can enjoy some ice time with the Northfield Skating School (NSS), now an official Learn to Skate USA program—endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey and U.S. Speedskating.
  • Last year’s popular Super Science Saturdays Club for Girls is continuing with instructors from a St. Olaf honor house. Girls in third-sixth grade can discover and explore the world of science, math and technology.
  • Adults can take a new Private Mountain Biking Instruction class to improve skills and confidence on the trails, with a certified IMBA and PMBI coach.
