Hit the new skate park at 1 p.m. on Saturday to watch some of the best local boarders perform tricks and skilled maneuvers, and stay for a free introductory clinic – where youth in attendance can ride and learn a few basic maneuvers. In order to participate, youth must have an adult present to sign a waiver.
The June 18 event includes:
- Skateboarding Demo 1 – 2:30 p.m.
- Intro to Skateboarding Clinic at 2:30 p.m.
Skateboards and helmets will be available, but participants may bring their own. Registration materials and information for summer skateboarding classes will be available following the demonstration.
The skate park is located at Old Memorial Field, 801 7th St. E. (next to the outdoor pool).
