The Northfield Community Band will kick off its free concert series at 7 p.m. on June 9 at Bridge Square. Bring a blanket or chairs at 7 p.m. every following Thursday in June, and enjoy music and the river view from the downtown park. Concert dates for 2016 include June 9, 16, 23 and 30.

The band is open to any high school or adult instrumentalist eager to share their talents. Rehearsals will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, June 1 – 29, in the Northfield High School band room. Anyone interested in performing in the band may simply show up at rehearsal. Contact Mary Williams for more information.
