The following message was sent to families today via Skylert regarding this year’s school closures:
Dear families,
Yesterday’s closure due to the heavy snow and hazardous driving conditions was a first in my 33 years as a superintendent. Never before have I had to close school in May as a result of snow!
We have received several inquiries about the possibility of making up days lost this school year because of inclement weather. Due to the late dates of the last two school closures, we do not believe it is feasible to schedule any make up days for the 2012-13 school year. Again, the district will not schedule make up days this school year.
I am hopeful that this is winter’s last blast and that we will soon be enjoying spring. As always, feel free to contact me with questions or concerns.
Respectfully,
Chris Richardson, Superintendent
