Superintendent Chris Richardson sent the following to families on Dec. 19 via the district’s Skylert messaging system:
Good Afternoon,
This morning, Northfield law enforcement shared with High School administration that they received word of a potential threat made towards Northfield High School, specifically about this Friday.
High School administration and the Northfield police investigated the situation thoroughly, following a path of conversations that included 7-10 students and parents. Law enforcement and school administration have determined there was indeed no threat. We share this with you so that you are aware of the situation and the results of the investigation. We also think it is important that you are aware of this in case you hear of other students/parents talking about a potential threat. We encourage you to let them know there is no threat.
Please contact me if you have questions.
Respectfully,
Chris Richardson, Superintendent
