Youth and adults will find many options in a variety of subjects among the Northfield Public Schools Community Services fall classes.
Adults looking to expand their Apple knowledge and skills can check out a series of classes taught by Mac expert, Mike Pahl. Getting Started with your Mac, Going Further with your Mac, iPhoto on your Mac and Mac Study Hall are all evening classes, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., which will be held at the middle school, during September. More iPad and other social media technology classes are scheduled for October.
Those looking for something fun and educational to do with a preschooler can check out Early Childhood Family Education’s fall schedule which is full of classes for ages birth to kindergarten entrance. For parents working during the daytime, there are also some evening options available, such as Discipline Tool Kit: How to Brake for Meltdowns, from 6:15 – 7:30 p.m. on Mondays beginning Sept. 20.
Hit up the floor this fall with Youth Floor Hockey for grades K through 5. Classes run Saturdays, from Sept. 15 to Oct. 6, at the middle school gym. Times vary by grade.
Summer may be in the rear-view mirror, but it is not too late to get your little one in the water to learn the basics about water safety. Many Community Services swimming classes for children under 5 begin the week of Sept. 17, such as Aqua Tots, Starfish and Water Babies. All classes are at the AmericInn Motel and Suites Pool. Times vary.
