When temperatures reach the 90s, there may be no better place to be than the water. This July, Northfield Public Schools Community Services offers two new classes to beat the heat and still enjoy the outdoors.
Fishing enthusiasts, ages 15 and up, can learn the basics of equipment and techniques in “Introduction to Fly Fishing” from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 14. The class cost $3 and includes a picnic lunch and equipment. Call Community Services at 507.664.3649 for directions to the venue.
On Sundays, from July 15 through Aug. 19, “Aqua Zumba” will integrate Latin and international rhythms with traditional aqua fitness in a safe and challenging workout. Classes will be held at the Northfield Outdoor Pool, from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. The cost is $55 for six classes.
