Head to the Children’s Theatre, learn about snowmobile safety or grab your art supplies – Northfield Public Schools Community Services has some great opportunities for youth this month.
- Be charmed by the classic tale of Dorothy and her friends at The Wizard of Oz performed by the Children’s Theatre Company. KidVentures will be holding a release day trip to head up and see the play on Wednesday, Nov. 23. Students K through grade 5 can register by calling Katie Valek or Mary Hansen at 507.664.3750.
- If you are planning to race across the snowy fields this winter, make sure you attend the Community Services Snowmobile Safety Class, which will provide certification for ages 12 through 18. Class will be held from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays, Nov. 14 and 21 in the Bridgewater Cafetorium. Class fee is $7.
- Students grades K through 5 interested in staying indoors can grab their art supplies for Arts Sampler. The class will be held after-school for four weeks at each elementary school beginning the week of Nov. 28. Mondays will be at Greenvale Park, Tuesdays will be at Sibley and Wednesdays will be at Bridgewater. Class fee is $60.
Northfield Public Schools Community Services includes recreation and enrichment programming, Early Childhood Family Education, driver education, KidVentures, EarlyVentures Learning Center, Connected Kids, Middle School Youth Center, Hand-in-Hand Preschool, Adult Basic Education and Project ABLE.
