Once again Northfield High School students have shown they can keep up with the best in the nation.
Three students have been named semifinalists for the National Merit Scholarship. Jasmine Barksdale, Muriel Carpenter and Parker Patterson will move on in the competition, which could bring them significant scholarships from institutions of higher education.
Also recognized were seven students who received commended student status: Erik Berthelsen, Joseph Brake, Elizabeth Coffield, Eduardo Jaramillo, Dana O’Donnell, Connor Rowley, and Keegan Ryan. These students rank among the top 1% of students in the nation on standardized test scores, as reported by the College Board.
