The following is an update regarding the Highway 246 construction for parents of students at Bridgewater Elementary, Northfield Middle School, and Northfield High School:
- According to MNDOT, the first layer of pavement and temporary striping on Highway 246 has been completed past County Road 1 south of the middle school.
- MNDOT is telling us that the second layer of paving will be placed on road in approximately two weeks.
- For Tuesday, Sept. 6, we are anticipating that there will be no road construction going on except south of County Road 1, however, we have no control over changes made in the construction schedule.
- We would encourage parents delivering their children to school and high school students driving to school to plan a little extra time and be prepared for rough or uneven pavement in several locations between Woodley and County Road 1.
