For the past three weeks almost 180 district teachers and staff members, parents, community members, students and adminstrators have been involved in the development of proposed reductions and potential revenue increases designed to help the school district make $705,000 in budget reductions for the 2011-2012 school year.

On Wednesday, March 2, 55 of those people were involved in the District Budget Review Team process. The budget restoration packages developed by the 5 Program-Based Budget Teams were placed in priority order and the budget reductions in those packages that received the lowest rankings were identified for potentional elimination. The results of the priority ranking process now goes to Superintendent Chris Richardson for review prior to going to the Northfield Board of Education.
