At the Feb. 14 meeting of the Northfield Board of Education, the proposed 2011-12 school year calendar, as recommended by the District Meet and Confer Committee, was presented.

The calendar maintains 174 student contact days, responds to the issues identified by parents and staff, and reflects the interests identified by the district during the calendar development process. The board will take action on the proposed 2011-12 school year calendar at its meeting on Feb. 28.
