Bridges to Kindergarten is a school readiness program that is designed to assist children in making a smooth transition into kindergarten. Children participate in a classroom experience with licensed early childhood and kindergarten teachers.
All are encouraged to apply. Applications are reviewed and placement priority is given to children with certain risk factors that are known to have an impact on learning and/or school readiness. How much does it cost?
Bridges to Kindergarten is free for eligible participants.The program is funded by Northfield Public Schools Community Services school-readiness funding and is free for eligible participants.
When is Bridges to Kindergarten?
Bridges to Kindergarten meets from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, for three weeks in August.
Where is Bridges to Kindergarten?
Classes are offered at Bridgewater, Greenvale Park and Sibley elementary schools. Children who qualify for participation are placed in classrooms in the building where they will attend kindergarten.
