The Northfield Community Band will give its first concert of the summer at Bridge Square at 7 p.m. this Thursday.

The band presents a free concert series every June, consisting of four Thursday evening performances in the downtown park. The 2015 series, under the direction of Bruce McWilliams and Mary Williams, will continue on June 4, 11, 18 and 25.

The band is open to any high school or adult instrumentalist eager to share their talents. Rehearsals are from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, until June 24, in the high school band room. Anyone interested in performing in the band may simply show up at rehearsal. Email Mary.Williams@northfieldschools.org for additional information.
