Greg Gelineau has been hired as the principal at Northfield Middle School effective July 1. Gelineau replaces Jeff Pesta who will begin his new role as Superintendent of the Kenyon-Wanamingo School District July 1.

Most recently Gelineau served as the interim Northfield Middle School Principal during the 2014-15 school year. Previously he worked as Northfield Middle School Assistant Principal for 16 years.

“Greg’s dedication to building strong relationships with staff, students and parents, his history of quality administrative work, his capable work as interim Principal during the 2014-15 school year, and a clear focus on student learning are just a few of the reasons I am recommending Greg for the ongoing Middle School Principal position beginning with the 2015-16 school year,” said Superintendent Chris Richardson. This recommendation will go to the School Board on July 13th.

In an e-mail message to Middle School staff, Richardson wrote, “I am looking forward to watching the Middle School grow and innovate under Greg’s leadership. Full implementation of PBIS, the next steps in the Transformational Technology initiative, implementation of Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) with support from the District and State ADSIS funding, and continuous improvement through the PLC process are areas where Northfield Middle School is poised to thrive.”
