The Northfield Middle School’s student-run bookstore, The Tattered Pages, is still accepting donations for the upcoming eighth annual Holiday Shopping Extravaganza.

The pop-up bookstore kicks off at 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec.15, and continues during the school day until Friday, Dec. 20. Donations are welcome at the middle school until the bookstore opens. Needed donations include:

  • gently used books for all ages
  • gently used household gift items, such as picture frames, paper weights, candles, jewelry boxes and candy dishes

The bookstore provides an opportunity for middle school students to purchase holiday gifts without spending actual money. Students earn coupons in a variety of ways, such as donating books, working in the bookstore and completing volunteer jobs.

The extravaganza event will include free gift wrapping, holiday treats and more. Call the Northfield Middle School Media Center, at 507.663.0677, for more information or to arrange for donations to be picked up.
