Northfield Public Schools staff members may register their children for the Camp Invention STEM enrichment day camp and receive a $30 discount for each child. Staff using this discount must provide their district email address when registering and also pay the $5 per student fee. Register with the form or online, using the promotional code “HOST.”

Camp Invention will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on June 23 through 27 (Monday through Friday) at Bridgewater Elementary School. Local educators will lead youth, entering grades 1 through 6, in hands-on activities that require teams to solve real-world challenges.

Activities will include:

  • Exploring the science behind the five senses to design a bionic ear, eye and hand
  • Experimenting with circuits and gears
  • Creating your own invention
  • Building a motorized “morphing” vehicle (to take home!)
  • Designing an epic, insect-themed pinball machine

The program is presented in partnership with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
