The Tattered Pages, Northfield Middle School’s student-run bookstore, is still accepting donations for its Third Annual Mother’s Day Sale, beginning May 6.

Donations are welcome at the middle school until the bookstore opens. Needed items include:

  • Gently used books (English & Spanish) – popular topics include cooking, gardening, crafts and art
  • Stationary, journals and pens
  • Candles, mugs and vases
  • Picture frames, plants and bookmarks
  • Jewelry and key chains

Call the Northfield Middle School Media Center at 507.663.0677 for more information or to arrange for donations to be picked up.

From May 6 through May 10, middle school students will be able to purchase books and gift items using special currency earned at school. Free gift-wrapping will be available during the May 2 kick-off event, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Bookstore currency is earned by students in four ways: by donating books; by working in the bookstore; by doing an exceptional job in the classroom, cafeteria, or on the school bus; or by completing a task from the teacher’s job jar, such as cleaning computers, washing windows, pulling weeds, scraping gum, or vacuuming floors.
