The Northfield Middle School’s student-run bookstore, The Tattered Pages, is accepting donations for the upcoming Sixth Annual Holiday Shopping Extravaganza. The bookstore’s season kicks off with the event, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Dec.13, and continues during the school day until Dec. 21.

Donations are welcome at the middle school until the bookstore opens. Needed donations include:

  • gently used books for all ages
  • all types of multimedia, including VHS tapes, DVD’s, video games, CD’s etc (in their original packaging)
  • gently used household gift items, such as picture frames, paper weights, stuffed animals, candles, jewelry boxes and candy dishes.
  • gift wrapping paper, bows and bags

The bookstore provides an opportunity for middle school students to purchase holiday gifts without spending actual money. Students earn coupons in a variety of ways, such as donating books, working in the bookstore and completing volunteer jobs.

The extravaganza event will include free gift wrapping, holiday treats and more. Call the Northfield Middle School Media Center at 507.663.0677 for more information or to arrange for donations to be picked up.
