High school athletic programs will start fall practices on Monday, Aug. 13. Completed registration materials for fall 2012 high school sports can be dropped off or mailed to the Northfield High School Activities Office.

Next Day Rule

All registration forms, fees and physical forms must be turned in by the Friday before the start of the first practice in order to participate on the first day of practice.

The activities office will accept past due forms and fees, but the student submitting any past due material will not be permitted to participate in practice until the next day. The activities office is no longer issuing a green slip allowing the student to participate the same day. Coaches will only allow participation of students on the eligibility list generated by the activities office. If a student’s forms and fees are not turned in the Friday before practice begins, the student will be allowed to attend practice – but not participate. When all forms and fees are received, the student will be able to participate the next day.

Fall Parent/Athlete Meeting

The fall sport parent/athlete meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, at the Northfield High School Gym. A general meeting will be followed by sport-specific meetings. At least one parent or guardian must be present with the athlete. Athletic passes and Raider bleacher chairs will be sold in the lower cafeteria.
